What does a website actually cost
It depends on how many pages you need and whether you need bookings, e-commerce or a customer login. A straightforward site for a Red Deer trade or clinic is a very different number from a twelve-location booking system. We quote a fixed price against an agreed scope rather than an hourly rate that drifts, and you get that number before you commit to anything.
Do I need a rebuild or just a fix
Often just a fix. If the structure is sound and it is only slow, dated-looking or missing pages, that is a fraction of the cost of starting over. We will tell you which you are looking at even though the rebuild is the bigger job for us.
Will I lose my Google rankings
Not if it is done properly. Every existing URL gets mapped to its new home with a permanent redirect before launch. Rankings usually wobble for a week or two and then settle. The sites that get hurt are the ones launched without a redirect map, which is a preventable mistake rather than an inevitable cost.
You are in Edmonton, not Red Deer
True. Edmonton is about an hour and a half up the highway and we work with clients across central Alberta. Same time zone, same province, and you deal with the person building the site rather than an account manager relaying messages to a team overseas.
What happens after launch
You own the site, the domain and the hosting account, all in your name. We offer a maintenance plan for updates, backups and security, and you are free to decline it or leave later. Nothing is built in a way that requires us to stay.
Can you write the content
Yes, and it is usually the right call. We interview you, write it, and you edit. The alternative, where the client promises to send copy, is the single most common reason a website project stalls for three months.
